Bethany Charlton

Bethany Charlton works in the adenoviral team developing vaccines targeting infectious diseases and cancer.

She joined SpyBiotech in 2023 after completing her PhD in Clinical Medicine at the Nuffield Department of Medicine, Oxford University, where she spent several years working on HIV-1 biology and viral immune evasion.

Prior to this Bethany worked at the National Institute for Biological Standards and Control (NIBSC) in Potters Bar, UK, where she gained extensive experience in poliovirus vaccine safety testing in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2005 under a quality system at the NIBSC.

Bethany received her Master’s degree in Applied Bioveterinary Research from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London.
