Jakub Kopycinski is an experienced vaccine immunologist, overseeing assays used on clinical trial samples to assess the immunogenicity of vaccine candidates.

He joined SpyBiotech in February 2024 from Vaccitech, having previously worked as a senior post-doctoral scientist at the Nuffield Department of Medicine at the University of Oxford and the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) at Imperial College London. Jakub has worked extensively on viral immunology and vaccines for more than 20 years. 

Jakub holds a PhD in Viral Immunology from University College London (UCL), where his work focused on immune responses to human cytomegalovirus in immune-impaired individuals.
