Jeanette Wagener is an experienced infection immunologist and is responsible to characterize the immune signature elicited by SpyBiotech’s lead vaccine candidates.

Jeanette joined SpyBiotech in 2021 from Osler Diagnostics Limited based in Oxford, where she worked on the integration of biomarker assays on Osler’s point-of-care diagnostic device.

Jeanette moved to the UK in 2010 after receiving her PhD from the University of Tübingen in Germany. She transitioned into the biotech sector in 2019 after an academic career in infection immunology with positions at the University of Aberdeen and the renowned Francis Crick Institute in London.
